Through the years…………….
12 February 2008 by FidoraSeems that the designers are going back in time and becoming inspired by some of the fashion from years gone by.
I love the looks and it actually does take me back to a time when life was just a bit slower and not so chaotic. And yes, I do remember some of these styles personally!
Just remember………… what goes around, comes around!
So it is with fashion as well.
So Ladies, let me take you back in time…………
The 1950’s

Dior and David Meister

The 1960’s

Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana

The 1970’s

Milly and Marc by Marc Jacobs

The 1980’s

Dolce & Gabbana and Kay Unger

The 1990’s

Dolce & Gabbana and Donna Karan

So Ladies, the next time you are thinking about throwing out that party dress because you think it’s outdated…………you might want to think again! It may be just be in style for your granddaughter to wear and pass on to her granddaughter and so on, and so on, and so on…………….

I really appreciate that old fashion dresses are back since time immemorial. I love to stare to the oldies unique designs that seldom found in any fashion houses nowadays. I saw one of the designs of Marc Jacobs on my mother’s picture during her early days. She is wearing this 1980’s black gown. It is definitely an elegant gown that made her looks beautiful and gorgeous. I hope through the years these lovely designer dresses will be back again and become trendy to the new generation.
These lovely dresses are seems to be outdated but they are really beautiful. I often saw old style dresses in a retro party. I inspired by these famous designers to show to my friends that these outdated dresses are truly elegant. I know we seldom saw these in a fashion houses but from time to time old dresses are back again. Lots of fashionistas wear these dresses to express and reminisce the old fashion trend of our loving elders. This creates me an excellent idea. I am going to collect pictures of old fashion outfits with different years as my hobby to give inspiration.
Anyway, thank you so much Fidora for such an inspring post. I will visit your blog everyday to keep me updated what is new and what is hot in this fashion world.
As I live and breathe, this is the most breathtaking dresses I have ever seen. Our idea in old dresses of modesty has been transformed to lack of style and unattractiveness but as time go along the old fashion turns new again. I really love designer dresses, but I have a lot of problems trying to wear all of them.
I am really looking forward to reading more posts on your site. It is necessary to have encouragement to wear old fashion dresses to remember the old past were this kind of fashion was timely.
