Luxury manufacturers are having a hard time trying to keep up with dropping sales and narrower margins. Hence, a luxury company that can actually claim to make a profit today is definitely worth praising for. Many companies are finding it hard to hold on to market shares and profit margins. But, for Tod’s shoes, this is not the case as they happen to be reporting profit from the previous fiscal, which is definitely worth a big accolade.

It is not just profit, but also the fact that the profit margins of the previous year were higher than the year before that. While a decent number of companies did manage to remain profitable, they definitely were not able to have a positive growth. In such a tumultuous economy, Tod’s continued to be profitable and even post a growth of 0.8% compared to the year before that. Hence, this is something worth noting and even raving about.

Bulk of this growth can be attributed to Tod’s shoes which helped push the revenue even further. The sales of the shoes had increased by over 4% compared to the previous year. Leather goods had a drastic fall in the sales of around 12%, which can be due to the high price of these commodities.

Another interesting feature to note was that bulk of the increase in revenue came from the Asian and Italian market, while the European and American markets only had decline in sales in pretty much every aspect. Hence, it looks like Tod’s shoes are definitely popular even in the eastern countries.
