Fashion Tips from the New First Lady
15 November 2008 by AndreaCelebrity fashion statements, whether it’s a tight-fitting denims or a kooky hat, are usually great sources of the next fashion trends. But if you’re tired of copycatting the looks of all the starlets over in Hollywood, it’s time to draw inspiration from another United States landmark: the White House.

Combine that with all the airtime she’s been getting lately and you get the recipe for an all-new style icon. And women in droves have been taking fashion tips from her lately. A $148 leaf-print dress she wore on TV show The View (left) was literally sold out within ours of her boob tube appearance.

It was a less racy and less lacy version of the actual runway piece, which had a lot of sheer, sexy details (both are compared in the photo, right). Nobody’s sure how she got her sense of fashion, style and chic, or how she pays for her apparent love for designer fashion. Everybody’s agreeing on one thing, though – the new first lady’s got style.
If you’re thinking of getting pieces from Rodriguez – the new first couturier (or the first of many) – you’d better snap them up quick. Michelle’s power extends beyond just inspiring fashion trends; the woman can spark an all out fashion frenzy. Now you know who got the fashionable vote for this election.
