I love the looks and it actually does take me back to a time when life was just a bit slower and not so chaotic. And yes, I do remember some of these styles personally!

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this is definitely the high time to wear your heart on your sleeves. Red is the hot, sizzling and oh so gorgeous color that you would love to sport. And with your attire in red, of course your accessories cannot be too far off.

I must admit that I have never been a big fan of patent leather.
It always reminded me of cheap material when compared to the finer leathers.
I remember patent leather as being a really stiff, uncomfortable material.
Well, those days are long gone!
Patent is back and it is absolutely exquisite!
I have found a new love for Patent Leather. It is soft, pliable and simply gorgeous.
I’m guessing that it is much more weather-resistant than any of my Nappa bags as well.
Therefore, I have been looking for the perfect Patent Leather bag.
But I have narrowed it down to a few.

The new S/S 2008 bags.
As I was hunting the many medias for yet another handbag, I came across these beauties offered by one of the oldest and most famous icons in the fashion industry.
Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921 while working in the very sophisticated Hotel Savory in London which was known to house English nobility. In 1930, Gucci introduced the equestrian-collection which inspired the horsebit and stirrup motifs and quickly became sought after by it’s sophisticated International clientele. The desire continues to this day.
As always, Gucci manages to offer beautifully crafted handbags with a very simple, yet timeless flair. It’s no wonder that these wonderful bags are constantly seen on the arms of those A-list celebrities some of whom are fashionistas in their own right.
